You will now find English translations for the special options and the corresponding footnotes and remarks.

We would like to make a few comments on the translation and address some other important notes to you.

The WDB-Neupreisrechner

With the WDB-Neupreisrechner you can calculate the new price of your or any other Mercedes-Benz of the included type series. The price lists range from 1971 to 1997.

The usablilty is self-explaning. First, you choose a price list and a model available at this time. Then you can make your selection of special options and learn (or dream) about the availabilty and pricing of those at that time. The complete price and of all selected special options are shown on the next page.

At last, with the “Export” functionality you can create a permanent link on the server that you can share with others. You always can use the browser functionalities like the back button or print options. Moreover, a print preview option is given.

Translations and price lists:

We tried to translate the special options and footnotes as complete and understandable as possible.

We decided not to translate the complete WDB-Neupreisrechner, because the additional benefit would not be that high. You will find the translations below the original naming.

Please keep in mind that the information is always based on German price lists. That means:

For other countries special options, models and/or prices may vary significantly.

Any technical measures are according to the German specifications, like PS/kW (horsepower, kilowatt) or in metric values, like mm (millimeter) as well as dates in the format (dd.mm.yyyy).

Nevertheless, it will give you a good impression of the availability and price ranges of the Mercedes-Benz models.

The stated prices are always in DM (German Marks). You may find former exchange rates by using your favourite search engine.

Wir möchten noch ein paar Hinweise zu den Übersetzungen geben.

Übersetzungen und Preislisten:

Wir haben versucht, die Übersetzungen so vollständig und verständlich wie möglich abzubilden.

Da es uns maßgeblich um den zusätzlichen Informationsgehalt ging, haben wir nicht den gesamten WDB-Neupreisrechner übersetzt, sondern uns auf die wesentlichen Informationen konzentriert. Der Großteil der Information sollte ohnehin selbsterklärend sein, wie Modelle, Baumuster oder Reifenformate.

Momentan sind die Sonderausstattungen und die dazugehörigen Fußnoten vollständig übersetzt.

Die Übersetzungen werden immer zusätzlich unterhalb der originalen Benennung angezeigt.

Allerdings ist dabei zu beachten, daß wir die originalen deutschen Texte übersetzt haben. Das bedeutet:

Die Angaben gelten trotzdem nur für den damaligen deutschen Markt.

Für andere Länder können die verfügbaren Sonderausstattungen, Modelle und Preise erheblich abweichen.

Auch haben wir sämtliche technischen Angaben so belassen wie angegeben, z.B. PS/kW oder mm. Auch Datumsangaben haben weiterhin das Format (Tag/Monat/Jahr). Alle Preisangaben sind ebenfalls weiterhin in DM.

Aber den Drehzahlmesser, den findet ihr jetzt zusätzlich korrekt als “tachometer”, den Tachometer als “speedometer”!
